Free Mini · exactly two photos · seven days from publication · no payment

A photo guessing game works best when the answer means something to the person playing. It might be a familiar place, a shared hobby or a recognisable object from a favourite day. Instead of sending the picture immediately, let your friend reveal part of it and decide what they are seeing.

LudoMaze’s Free Mini creator turns exactly two photos into a scratch-and-guess game. You add the correct answers, optional clues and a final message, preview the game, then publish a link that stays playable for seven days. Your friend can open the player link without creating an account.

How to make your free photo guessing game

  1. Open Build Your Special Game. Use the free creator on the existing Scratch Reveal page. Give your game a short title, such as “Two memories from our trip”.
  2. Choose two photos. JPEG, PNG and WebP files up to 12 MB each are accepted by the builder. The browser resizes them before publishing; a clear, simple picture usually works better than a busy collage.
  3. Write one correct answer per photo. Use the word or name your friend is most likely to type. Add an optional clue if the subject could be interpreted in several ways.
  4. Add a final message. Keep it short: a birthday wish, a thank-you or a friendly challenge for your next get-together.
  5. Preview before publishing. Check both images, their answers and the final message. Selected photos stay in the tab until you publish; leaving the page can lose your unpublished work.
  6. Confirm permission and publish. The creator saves the game and gives you a player link plus a separate creator delete link. Copy the player link into the message you want to send.

Choose pictures that make the game enjoyable

Think about the player’s knowledge, not just your own. A picture of a familiar café might be a fair challenge for your travel companion but impossible for someone who has never visited it. If the answer is a person, make sure you have permission to share their picture. For children’s photos, obtain permission from a parent or guardian.

Picture ideaClear answerHelpful clue
A favourite petThe pet’s usual name“The one who steals the sofa”
A shared travel spotA short place name“Where our weekend began”
A familiar celebration cakeThe flavour“Our usual birthday choice”

The answer check ignores case, spacing and punctuation, but it does not understand every nickname or synonym. If your answer is “Sun”, someone typing “our star” may not match. Make the clue specific enough to guide the expected wording and avoid multiple equally reasonable answers.

What your friend does when the link opens

The player scratches with a mouse or finger. At least 8% of the cover must be revealed before the first typed answer becomes available. Each photo allows two guesses. A wrong answer deducts 35 points from a later correct result and requires 15% more newly revealed area before the next attempt. Rubbing the same cleared patch does not provide that new area.

Earlier correct answers earn more points. Two wrong answers finish that photo with no points, and the game then moves on to the next one. The result is a casual score for that play session, not a verified online leaderboard. After both photos, your final message appears.

Three ways to make the two photos feel connected

A birthday mini surprise

Use a favourite place and a familiar birthday treat. Let the final message carry the wish. Share the link close enough to the celebration that the seven-day access period covers the intended moment.

A friendship memory challenge

Choose two shared experiences with different subjects, such as a picnic location and a pet. Different shapes and colours make the two rounds feel distinct. Ask your friend to create a return challenge with memories of their own.

A family turn-taking game

Let family members take turns on the same screen. Agree who will type the answer before spending a guess. Keep personal details such as addresses, school IDs, documents and other sensitive information out of the pictures.

The player link is for sharing. The creator delete link is for you: anyone who has it can remove the game. Keep the two separate and save the creator link somewhere you can find it.

Published games are unlisted, not password-protected. Anyone with the player link can open the game and may save an image. The free link expires seven days after publication, and you can remove the game earlier with its creator link. Do not use this feature to distribute sensitive or intimate photos. See the privacy policy and the notice in the creator for storage details.

Questions before you create

Can I upload ten or fifty photos?

Free Mini remains limited to exactly two photos and seven-day sharing. Premium photo passes support up to 10, 25 or 50 photos, four game modes and three calendar months of access from publication. Preview the collection in the photo studio before buying. Payment is one-time; there is no subscription.

Can I edit the game after publishing?

The current Free Mini flow does not offer editing of a published game. Preview carefully first. If something is wrong, remove it with the creator link and make a corrected game, subject to free publishing limits.

Does the recipient need an app?

No separate app is required. The recipient opens the link in a compatible browser and uses a mouse or touch controls.
